National Biocontainment Unit

The cladding system we fitted to this unique and highly specced building for the Ministry of Primary Industries also came with a rigorous quality assurance assessment. The original steel frames had been poorly installed, so our work required careful set up, execution and ongoing management to ensure the finished weatherboards were properly installed to a highly flat and true finish.

The complicated system featured Nuwall aluminium weatherboards over cavity batten, over self-adhesive building wrap, over fibre cement rigid air barrier, over XPS thermal break, and finally over new steel frames.
